Odyssey Institute will be offering First Aid competency programs in HLTAID Provide First Aid and HLTAID Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR update).

These will be provided via a blended delivery mode (partially online and classroom based).

We will be providing regular intakes for the public with options for employers – AOD agencies and other community services organisations – to set up sessions for worker intakes.

Face to face component can be provided at our Footscray training facility or your workplace. Contact us for group bookings via studentadmin@odyssey.org.au or firstaid@odyssey.org.au.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Provide First Aid

(includes CPR)

Many workers in AOD and related fields need to undertake this competency as an update (every 12 months). This program provides participants with knowledge and skills to provide CPR to a person who is unconscious or not breathing.

The program adheres to the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Current intake dates

This program enables a person to provide First Aid and to coordinate a First Aid response to a casualty and/or until the arrival of medical assistance (if required).

The Safe Work Australia First Aid Model Code of Practice recommends that refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually from the date of issue and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three years from the date of issue to maintain currency.
